(1) Introduction to the Senior Resources Area
The Seniors Resources Area on the 1st Floor provides a comfortable reading environment specially designed for senior citizens. In addition to reading books and newspapers, watching or listening to multimedia materials and searching for information on the Internet, the area also has devices to measure health and nutrition information such as blood pressure, height and weight, and holds learning activities for senior citizens.
(2) Special Reading Equipment and Resources for Senior Citizens
- Computers for online inquiries (8 computers): senior citizens can take their library passes to register on the registration platform, and use the computers for 1 hour each time.
- Video Magnifier (5 magnifiers): equipped with a 22" screen, the angle of the magnifiers can be adjusted according to different needs, making them convenient for senior readers.
- Desktop Magnifier Lamp (4 lamps): the front cover of the lamp is equipped with a magnifying glass that has an arm that can be rotated and adjusted, making it suitable for the reading needs of senior citizens.
- Magnifying glasses and reading glasses: senior citizens can borrow them by presenting their library passes or national identification cards at the counter.
