Basic Definition and Borrowing Rules of “Popular Collections”
一、 Basic Definition of “Popular Collections”:
- Library resources with a total number of reservations of 10 or more and a reader waiting time of 3 months or longer are defined as “Popular Collections.”
- The library regularly collects materials that meet the aforementioned conditions around the 25th of each month, and shortens the borrowing period to 14 days for 3 consecutive months starting from the 1st day of the following month.
二、 Rules for Borrowing “Popular Collections”:
- The borrowing period for “Popular Collections” is 14 days. Readers with personal library passes can borrow up to 20 volumes at the same time (30 volumes for family library passes and platinum library passes, 40 volumes for class library passes), 5 audio-visual resources, and 3 items from the popular collections.
- Books that have been borrowed before being announced as “Popular Collections” will not have their borrowing periods shortened to maintain the library’s commitment to the readers; books that are borrowed after being announced as “Popular Collections” will have their borrowing periods shortened to 14 days.
