一、Regulations and Precautions for using the Library Pass

(I) Individuals need to use their own library pass or family library pass to borrow library resources, or a representative who presenting a letter of authorization along with the original copies of identification documents from both parties. However, those able to prove that they are immediate family members or spouses of the applicant with identification documents of both parties are exempt from presenting the letter of authorization.

(II) The class teacher has to apply for the class library pass

(III)Individuals should use the library resources materials in accordance with the Library Act, Movie Rating System, Copyright Act, and the relevant provisions for the protection of intellectual property rights. Those who commit violations are liable for the legal responsibilities.

(IV) Individuals should take good care of the library resources when borrowing them, and should not damage or add notes to the library resources. When borrowing library resources, they should personally check for any tears, dots and circles, annotations, missing pages, stains, and report to the library staff on the spot if they find any.

二、Circulation of Library Resources

The borrowing period and number of borrowed library resources are as follows:

(I)Each personal library pass is limited to borrowing 20 volumes (items) and the borrowing period is 30 days.

(II)Each family library pass is limited to borrowing 30 volumes (items) and the borrowing period is 30 days.

(III)Each class library pass is limited to borrowing 40 volumes (items) and the borrowing period is 60 days.

三、Access to books, audio-visual resources and bound newspapers

The access times are as follows

Tuesday to Friday        09:00 - 12:00

14:00 - 17:00

(II) 

General books, audio-visual materials (only B1 and B2 compact stacks, Room 4042 on the 4th Floor, restricted books, and audio-visual materials)

Please fill in the access form and send it to the library in advance by fax or mail to access the books from the service counter on the 2nd Floor during opening hours; readers must specify the pick-up date and coordinate with the library’s internal book retrieval hours. Books and audio-visual resources on open shelves can be freely accessed by readers themselves.

 (III)

Bound newspapers            Online reading of bound newspapers

 

1.

Access scope: B2 compact stacks of bound newspapers after 1971 (inclusive); photocopying of bound newspapers is prohibited (photographic reproduction is allowed).

2.

If there are copies, microform, or digitized copies, the original newspapers will not be provided for access.

3.

Original newspapers will not be provided for access if they are not in good condition, the paper is fragile, termite damage is severe, the pages have hardened or are stuck together, or the binding is easily damaged.

4.

Processing method: fill out the access form, which will be processed by the periodicals service counter.

Please call (2926-6888 #3106) or fax (2926-8670) in advance when accessing bound newspapers outside the above access times for the library to prepare.
