Management Guidelines for the Wireless Network at the National Taiwan Library

1.The National Taiwan Library (hereinafter referred to as the library) has specially built a wireless network environment to provide readers with
   convenient Internet services, and has formulated the “Management Guidelines for the Wireless Network at the National Taiwan Library”
   (hereinafter referred to as the Guidelines).
2.Service Subjects: Readers who have a library pass.
3.Service Area: The reading areas on the B1-6th Floor of the library; readers who have brought their own laptops can use wireless internet for
   free.
4.Readers are not allowed to do the following when using the wireless network of the library:
(1)Sabotage the internal or external network equipment, or the host computers of the library.
(2)Spread malicious programs.
(3)Play online games, chat, and spread rumors.
(4)Download illegal software.
(5)Access pornographic websites.
(6)Engage in commercial activities.
(7)Interfere with other readers.
(8)Obstruct network security or the reading order; the library reserves the right to cancel rights of usage in case of violations of the
     regulations.
5.The library’s wireless network does not require appointments or registration procedures, and does not provide printing services. Readers
   should take good care of the computers and accessories they bring as the library is not responsible for safekeeping these items.
6.Readers should install a wireless network card and drivers for laptops, turn off the speakers, and type softly on their keyboards to avoid
   interfering with the right to read of other individuals.
